How does Jarvis Work?

Jarvis is a leading home services company that connects Australians with proven, professional housekeepers and home services professionals. Everyone on our platform is checked and vetted, as well as rated by clients on an ongoing basis to ensure that the best possible person handles your job.

We’re able to visit your home as frequently as you need, and can assist with household tasks ranging from cleaning and chores, to furniture assembly.

What time am I able to make a booking?

We take bookings between 7:00am to 7:00pm from Monday to Sunday.

Do I need to be at home for the visit?

It is up to you whether or not you want to be at home for your visit, so long as you can ensure that we’re able to enter your home. For our cleaning plan service (with visits weekly, fortnightly or monthly), our clients often make themselves available for the very first booking with their housekeeper to show them exactly how they’d like things done from visit to visit - however, this meet and greet is entirely up to you.

For cleaning plans, will my housekeeper visit me at the same time each week?

When you first set up a booking with us, your first visit can be organised at a specific time to ensure you can meet your housekeeper. For following visits however, we prefer that you designate a time window (for example, 8:00am to 5:00pm). This flexibility is really important to our housekeepers, and ensures that they can fit more work into their schedule.

If you need your housekeeper to visit at the same set time for every visit, you can let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.

How does Jarvis match customers with home services professionals?

We take a number of factors into consideration when assigning you your home services professional, including their reliability, quality rating, location and availability. We always endeavour to assign you the best possible person available, however if you find that they are not the right fit, we are more than happy to arrange for a different person to take over your service.

How does the Jarvis Happiness Guarantee work?

If you are not 100% happy with the housekeeper that we send you, we’ll organise a new Jarvis housekeeper to take over at no extra charge.

How can I trust the home services professional you organise for me?

All of our friendly Jarvis home services professionals are fully insured and background checked before stepping foot in your home. In addition, we also regularly prompt our clients to provide feedback regarding their experience. Jarvis professionals must keep a quality score of at least 4.2 out of 5 to continue receiving new jobs through Jarvis.

Is Jarvis insured?

Jarvis is fully insured for up to $10 million – so you can have the peace of mind to trust us in your home. Should you need to make an insurance claim please let us know as soon as possible and provide a quote where possible, we’ll send these details to our insurers to be processed

What is Jarvis’ cancellation policy?

You can cancel or amend a visit by contacting the team, free of charge, up to 48 hours before your visit is scheduled to take place.

If you cancel or amend a visit between 24 and 48 hours before the visit is scheduled to begin, you will have to pay cancellation costs equivalent to 50% of the visit fee. If you cancel or amend a visit within 24 hours before the visit is scheduled to begin, you will have to pay cancellation costs equivalent to the full cleaning fee.

This fee goes directly towards compensating your home services professional for their forgone earnings.
