COVID-19 is an unprecedented global health challenge. As a deemed essential service, we are proud to support the community at a time when the need for health and hygiene has never been greater. Our top priority is to ensure the safety of all our clients and our workers, including our cleaners, housekeepers and other service professionals.
We are actively monitoring the situation and are taking steps to help keep our communities safe.
What we are doing

Supplying masks, rubber gloves and disinfectantsto all workers, including allowing workers to purchase protective equipment and expense it to Jarvis. To reduce the risk of shortages, we are also partnering with a range of international suppliers to help provide us with the right supplies. In addition to subsidising the cost of this equipment, we are offering disinfection cleans at no extra cost.

Providing information and training in our worker appto ensure workers follow appropriate hygiene and safety precautions, including thoroughly washing their hands and focusing on high-touch surfaces. This incorporates the latest recommendations from a variety of domestic and international government bodies, including the CDC, and is updated daily. For example, all our workers have been sent a 30 minute online course issued by the Department of Health, focused on COVID-19 infection control and risk minimisation.

Increasing safety measures by having workers confirm that they do not have cold or flu-like symptomsbefore every single visit, nor come into contact with anyone who has received a positive COVID-19 diagnosis. We will follow government guidelines to ensure that anyone in an at-risk category is temporarily quarantined, and notify anyone they may have come into contact with via the Jarvis platform.

Building followup systems for workersto ensure they have the right support, including medical support. We're also working with all our workers to try help out any wider way we can, including helping everyone seek rent relief and access other benefits.
